Personally, I think last night was a heart breaker for both sides of the ball. Yes, Alabama did win the game, but I know they wanted to win it with the best players on the field. It was definitely a great game, one that had the chance to go down as one of the best of all time. I read a great article regarding the two sides of the quarterbacks for Texas, and if you haven’t, here it is: http://tiny.cc/eA6XY. One, you had Colt leaving but unable to participate because of injury, while Garrett Gilbert didn’t perform up to his liking. The good news for Texas fans is now your next quarterback has some big game experience. It was definitely a rough first half for the kid, but I thought he did an amazing job in the second half. Unfortunately it didn’t turn out for him, however I do think at some point in the next 3 years we will be reading a lot more about Garrett Gilbert.
As for Alabama fans, I think the team is definitely going to be back in the running next year. The defense is a roadblock and you still have 2 really good running backs coming back.
On to basketball…
